Family Week
This programme was created for anglers and their families, so that they could spend a week together satisfying their different hobbies. The programme combines fishing with other activities like for example sightseeing or walking. The length of the programme is usually 6 nights and 5 days.The guide will fish together with anglers for 2 days and will also lead two non-fishing tours.

The location
Family Week is held in Nord-East Czechia and the exact place depends on the choice of your accommodation. We offer accommodation in a small town of Vrchlabi lying on the foothill of the Giant Mountains or in the surroundings of the cities of Zelezny Brod, Semily and Liberec, which are on the foothill of the Jizera Mountains. All cities are about 100 km to the north of Prague. Famous Czech Paradise with its sandstone rock formations and castles is also quite close and it is included in our programme. Anglers can fish the best rivers here: Jizera, Labe, Kamenice or a famous Black Nisa Lake.

Programme proposal

1st Sunday: Arrival in the late afternoon. After check in at your house there will be a welcome meeting with general information about fishing regulations and sightseeing possibilities. Of course, the first dinner with Czech beer will follow.
2nd Monday: Fishing DayAccording to your accommodation we’ll decide where to fish at first. Probably Labe or Kamenice. During the day we will usually change our fishing place 3 or 4 times. Czech nymphing lesson is also included in the programme. As well as you will be fishing dry flies there. We’ll have a short lunch break in a typical village pub where we could try famous Czech dumplings, potatoes pan cakes and of course, Czech beer. After lunch there will be time for one secret place more. At about 17.00 we will go back to our house.
3rd Tuesday: CzechParadise Tour. It is a guided non-fishing tour to the heart of Czech Paradise, which is about 1 hour by car from our house. An easy walk about 30 minutes is planned there. You will see the best sandstone rock formations in the Czech Republic. Our lunch will be in Hruba Skala chateaux. You should try Czech cuisine: goulash and dumplings. After lunch we will visit Trosky castle. If there is time enough, we’ll stop on the top of Mount Kozakov, which is the best viewpoint in Czech Paradise. Then it’s time to drive home.
4th Wednesday: Jizera Fishing. We will drive to the first place about 40 minutes. You will see a completely different river, bigger, wild and amazing. During the day we will usually change our fishing place 3 times. Czech nymphing lesson is also included in the programme. As well as you will be fishing dry flies there. We’ll have a short lunch break in a local village pub where we could try typical marinated sausages and marinated cheese. After lunch there will be time for one secret place more. Before 17.00 we stop our fishing and drive back to our pension.
5th Thursday: The Jizera Mountains Tour.It is a guided tour with walking programme. Transport to the Jizerka Meadow is about 50 minutes. There are remains of beech woods with elm and sycamore „wild“ meadows rich in remarkable wild flowers. Before noon a short hike to Mount Bukovec, the highest basalt hill in Central Europe. From the top there is a marvellous view to the Giant Mountains and the Jizera Mountains. Lunch will be in a typical mountain hut. In the afternoon a short walk along Jizerka peat bogs and Safire brook, which is famous for its precious stones.Then it’s time to drive home.
6th Friday: It is a free day without guiding.The programme is up to you. If you prefer spending the day together or separately according to your hobbies, we’ll help you with our tips where to fish or what sights shall be seen. Also shopping shouldn’t be forgotten.
7th Saturday: Your departure after breakfast.
